Ingredients:

  • 10 chicken wings
  • Juice of 1 freshly squeezed lemon
  • 1/2 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Your favourite  sauce ( I did not put because most of the sauces contain sugar or honey, and we avoid carbs).

Method:

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees c. Line a large  baking tray with aluminium foil.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the lemon juice and salt, mix thoroughly, rub on wings ,keep aside.  Melt the butter, add the pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Crush the thyme between your palms ,add it with the chilli powder to the butter. Mix well,  pour on the wings, rub thourally, arrange them on the prepared baking sheet in one layer. Let it rest for 1/2 n hour.

Roast in the oven for 20 minutes. Turn them , collect the juice from the tray &  pour it on the wings, roast for another  10 minutes or until the wings are nicely browned and crispy.  Serve the wings as they are or with your favourite dipping sauce or cream cheese.
